Nigeria’s Super Eagles will have its training in Houston, United States for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, said Green, chairman of the NFF technical committee.
“Nigeria will train for the World Cup in Houston… We want to make a statement at our fifth World Cup and so we have to prepare adequately.”
Initially, the Super Eagles’ coach, Stephen Keshi, had proposed that the World Cup training which is scheduled to open on May 25 2014, take place in either Miami or Houston.
The Super Eagles plans several friendly matches before their first World Cup group match against Iran on June 16 in Curitiba. One of the warm-up match will be against face Mexico on March 5 in Houston.
