Mandela is well loved and his 95th birthday was celebrated all over the world yesterday on the 18th July.

Yesterday in Asaba, Delta State, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan commissioned the planting of 95 trees to mark Mandela’s birthday at a garden christened Mandela Garden of 95 Trees.

Governor Uduaghan, who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Dr Festus Okubor describes the creation of the garden as a privilege because, in his words, “in its full bloom, it will serve as an irresistible tourist attraction while at the same time, keep the memory of that great African, fresh at all times in the minds of all, even beyond the lifetime of the initiator.”
