Annual musical concert -Love like a movie 3 #LLAMNaked which took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos on the 28th of February, was a spectacular and amazing show as always.
Although this year, the stage design and setup was by far more modest and simple when compared to the previous editions of the show, the performance were enjoyable most especially Grammy Award winning American artist –Ciara’s performances.
The Love like a movie this year adopted a Tron-ish concept with 3D stage lightening, Light-up costumes, an extra island stage, party lights, and glow sticks for the audience.
The LLAMNaked show featured artistes like Olamide, Vector, Bonang Matheba, Simi, Adekunle Gold, Tolu, Yemi Alade, Blackky Weird MC, Jazzman Olofin, Styl Plus, Kaffy, Kenny Blaq, Millen Magese, Sound Sultan, Zaina, Sammy and others.
Memorable performances include all of Ciara’s performances from “Lose Control”, “Like a Boy”, “Love, Sex and Magic”, to “Give Me Love” and others. Most endearing was when Ciara “paid respect” to Nigerians by doing the trending dance moves like Etigi, Shakiti Bobo, and a little Azonto.
And she killed it!
Another memorable performance is by Vector and Sammy singing their remixed version of Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s hit single ‘See you again’ in a tribute to all the deceased Nigerian entertainers, and contributors to performing art such Fela Kuti, Art Alade (Darey’s late father), Sam Loco, Amaka Igwe, J.T Tom West, Toun Oni, Justice Esiri, Junior (of Junior and Pretty), Fatai Rolling Dollar, Dagrin, Goldie, Orlando Owoh, Kefee, Sunny Okosun, Zara Gretti, Pete Eneh, and many others.
Also Noteworthy was the Micheal Jackson dance performance, the boneless contortionists, flexible pole dancers, and Kenny Blaq’s musical comedy performance narrating his love woes with a mix of hit songs. It was hilarious and the audience loved it!
Celebs such as Genevieve Nnaji, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Toke Makinwa, Senator Florence Ita Giwa, Ini Edo, Rita Dominic, Funke Akindele, Lami Phillips, graced the event in their ravishing outfits and of course the men are not left out; Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Cobhams Asuquo, Dr Sid, Bovi, Mai Atafo, Victor Olaotan, IIIRymz, and many more were present looking delectable.
The Host himself -Dare Art Alade, ended the show on a strong note with an inspiring performance of ‘I Go Make Am’ and ‘Champion’, both singles from his album “Naked”, and with his thank you speech, the show came to a beautiful end.
