Royal couple, Kate Middleton and Prince William finally welcomed their little princess on Saturday, May 2.
Although the baby was due for delivery a week ago, Duchess Kate of Cambridge safely delivered the little princess at 8:34 a.m. London time today Saturday, after less than three hours of labor.
Britain (and the rest of the world) got her first look at the baby snugly wrapped in a blanket, as mother and baby were leaving the hospital in the evening with Papa William
The Kensington Palace announced the good news on social media by Twitter, email and later in the morning by the traditional framed announcement on fancy paper posted on an easel just inside the gates of Buckingham Palace saying;
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am,” “The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz.”
“Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, was present for the birth.
