Terrible Tuesday in Jos as bomb blast rips the afternoon
On Tuesday May 20, Jos, the capital of Plateau State in Nigeria, was shaken by two massive explosions which was set off at a crowded marketplace and bus station.
According to reports, the first blast went off at about 2:55pm at the busy Jos Main Market (Terminus Market) while the second erupted 15 minutes later at the temporary site of the Jos University Teaching Hospital.
The blast instantly claimed over 45 lives. Most of the victims were burnt beyond recognition.
This attack occurred barely up to 48 hours after a similar had been carried out at a drinking spot in Sabongari area of Kano, Northern Nigeria on Sunday which claimed 4 lives.
As of this report, no one has claimed responsibility for these attacks. As usual, all fingers seem to be pointing at notorious militant Islamist group Boko Haram.
