CNN Anchor riles Joan Rivers during interview

Author-comedienne Joan Rivers, the Inspector General of Fashion Police got extremely pissed off at a CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield, that she walked out of a live CNN interview.

Joan Rivers was on the CNN program “Newsroom” on Saturday to promote her new book titled ‘Diary of a Mad Diva’. However, the Fashion Police officer got all riled up by the anchors un-funny  line of questions.

After doing all the warm up questions, Whitfield started hopping on landmines asking Joan Rivers about her “mean” fashion criticisms on Fashion Police and if Rivers knows she could be crossing the line or offending people.

The straw that broke the camel’s back was when Whitfield strayed into animal rights issue with Joan Rivers. Commenting on the fur coat Rivers wore on the cover of  ‘Diary of a Mad Diva’, the following transpired;

Fredricka Whitfield: …on the cover of your book, you’re wearing a fur and you knew that there are probably animal rights…

Joan Rivers: (cuts in) you know this whole interview is becoming a defensive interview…

Fredricka Whitfield: Noooo…!!

Joan Rivers: Are you wearing leather shoes..?

Fredricka Whitfield: (laughing) Yes… I’m talkin-

Joan Rivers: Then shut up. You know what i mean? I don’t want to hear it. “You are wearing fur…” YOU are wearing leather shoes! You are eating chicken, you are eating meat. I don’t want to hear this nonsense. Come to me with a paper belt, and then I’ll talk to you.

Even then, Joan Rivers still kept her cool and stayed on seat but Whitfield said one more thing which blew the limit of her irritation (see video below).
