Explosion at the Nigerian Gas Company, Abule-Egba
At about 7pm yesterday evening, a gas explosion rocked the premises of the Nigerian Gas Company at Abule-egba, Lagos State.
The explosion caused panic and fear which spread like wildfire as veryone knows the deadly consequences of a gas explosion.
Fortunately, the residents living in the area survived the experience. No one was hurt.
A Spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed the explosion.
Apparently, after the incident, the area was enveloped by an offensive odor. He advised residents to avoid acts that could aggravate the situation. He disclosed that NEMA was trying to mobilise workers to the scene of the leakage.
